Round Rehearsal

Practice theme

Executive round

Practice impact, choices, and a clear story for someone outside your function.

What to practice

Questions we wrote

Practice questions, not a prediction of the real round.

  1. 1. What is a result you changed, and what did it cost to change it?

Follow-up: What number are you willing to say out loud?

  2. 2. Tell me about a bet you recommended that leadership did not have to take.

Follow-up: How did you say the risk?

  3. 3. What work did you stop, and who felt it?

Follow-up: How did you explain the stop?

  4. 4. How should an executive who is not in your function understand your job?

Follow-up: What jargon did you just avoid?

  5. 5. Describe a time the strategy and the week-to-week work did not match.

Follow-up: What did you do about the gap you could actually reach?

  6. 6. Why this role, at the altitude this conversation is happening?

Follow-up: What would make this a bad hire from the company's side?

A structure to try

Will this sound like the company's executive?

No. Executive is a role. The rehearsal will not clone a voice or claim to know how that person thinks.

Where do company facts come from?

If a fact is not attached to a source URL and a date, it is not presented as research. A company name you type is only a topic.
